Presentation Topic:  Introduction to the "Chain of Solutions" - Driving Rapid Improvement with Lean Six Sigma

My focus for this presentation is the application of a methodology I call the “Chain of Solutions”. I will discuss how to apply TLS to a plant and its Supply Chain to rapidly improve profitability, as well as morale and the culture.  TLS is the synergistic combination of Theory of Constraints with Lean Six Sigma.

By using the “Chain of Solutions”, a company can achieve rapid performance improvement with minimal investment. It’s about analyzing the organization and devising a strategic improvement project portfolio with the improvements sequenced for impact and flow. It is highly collaborative and engaging with all levels of an organization and can help reduce stress & anxiety while increasing profitability.

First, I will introduce the basics of TLS and the "Chain of Solutions" methodology. Then, I will describe a case of implementation of the "Chain of Solutions" to drive rapid improvements through a plant that went through a swift transformation in culture and profitability to became a center of excellence.

About the Speaker:  Mike Asbury

Michael Asbury is a Business Consultant and Founder of Elevate Coaching & Consulting. He specializes in rapidly increasing profitability & stability while reducing pain points that cause frustration, stress and anxiety.

He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt from Villanova University and Theory of Constraints Jonah from Washington State University, and earned a BS in Computational Physics & Mathematics from Illinois State University. He is a member of ASQ-American Society of Quality, APICS/ASCM, TOCICO-Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization, IMC-Institute of Management Consultants, Rotary International, and Toastmasters.

Mike has a wonderful wife, 3 children and 2 dogs. He and his family moved to the Trinity, NC from Quincy, IL in 2017.  He loves spending time with his family, friends & neighbors. He really enjoys reading and visiting the beach, the lake & the mountains as well as networking and helping businesses succeed while reducing peoples’ daily frustrations.
