Demand Driven MRP – A Simple Simulation
Imagine your car had a warning system that told you whether or not you had fuel. Two settings: Yes (you have fuel) or No (you don’t). You could search and find out how much gas you have, but only while you are stopped. That would make it difficult, wouldn’t it?
Wouldn’t it be cool if you were warned with enough time to prevent the problem? It’s why your car has a fuel gauge. Even cars have evolved, and now they tell you how many more miles you can go before running out.
Knowing the current status helps you plan properly. It’s time to calm the chaos caused by the reactionary nature of our traditional MRP. Just a few changes will make all the difference.
Learn the power of Demand Driven MRP by answering the question, “what is it, really?”
You will gain a clear understanding of how DDMRP will impact your daily work, how you can leverage different and new information to improve your processes, and how DDMRP is clearly different from and yet similar to traditional MRP.
